About Us
Running a childcare center takes more than dedication. It takes reliable resources, a supported team, and a community you can turn to.
The Village brings group childcare centers together to share resources, explore savings opportunities, and build relationships that help them thrive.
Childcare centers do essential work for children and families. Yet finding affordable services, supporting staff, and managing rising costs can leave leaders with little time to connect with one another.
We believe working together can make those challenges easier to navigate—and give centers more room to focus on the children in their care.
The Village grew out of a shared belief: childcare providers should have a voice in shaping the solutions that affect their centers, staff, and families.
As childcare leaders in Wood County, we see the challenges firsthand—from rising operating costs to the difficulty of finding affordable benefits and meaningful support for staff. We also see opportunities to make progress by working together.
We created The Village to turn that shared experience into action: connecting centers, building community partnerships, and pursuing practical solutions that help childcare thrive.
The Village was founded by Katie Stieber, Katie McEwen, Brook Severs, and Sarah Franklin, who also serve as its board of directors.
Together, they are building a provider-led alliance grounded in the everyday realities of childcare and a commitment to the children, families, and educators of Wood County.
